Ketna Patel

Ketna Patel is a British Indian Pop artist whose life across six Commonwealth countries, including two transformative decades in Singapore, has shaped a practice rooted in fluid, borderless identity. Born in East Africa and raised between Kenya, India, and the U.K., Patel occupies the rare position of belonging nowhere and everywhere at once. 

This liminal vantage point gives her a unique perch from which to observe humanity: its migrations, contradictions, aspirations, and the invisible threads that bind us. Drawing on architecture, design, mythology, and mass culture, her work fuses humour with sharp social intelligence, creating layered narratives that probe how identities are formed, distorted, and continuously remixed. 

Patel’s vibrant compositions celebrate interconnectedness while challenging the neat boxes in which cultures are often placed.
